Search Engine Optimisation Tips
This week we are going to focus on getting your website noticed by the search engines. So here are a few tips on how to do that.
What is Search Engine Optimisation?
First of all, let’s explain what Search Engine Optimisation is. It is making your site attractive to search engines (such as Google, Bing and others) as well as attractive to potential customers.
Simply put Keywords are phrases that describe what you do.
A good way of adding keywords is by writing sentences on your website that make sense and have a reasonable amount of keywords within it. You can also use related words instead of endlessly repeating keywords.
Example: “We provide quality business services/products (insert your product/service) to help you with your XXX (whatever you help your customers do)”. The keywords here would be “quality business services/products”.

On page content – Meta Tags and Meta Description
Meta tags are bits of code you can include within your web page’s HTML to help search engines and humans to understand what the web page is about.
Every web page you create has to have a meta title tag. This tag is the blue link that the search engines show when they list your web page on the results page. The meta description is a text snippet that describes what your specific web page is about.
